I’m currently teaching a class at the Strongsville Pat Catan’s store every Wednesday night from 6 to 8:30.
Sometimes we create a multiple still life set up with lights. Sometimes we work from photos or concepts brought in by the student.

There’s a demonstration painting created every class. Watching someone paint is the best way to learn how to paint! You’ll see how wet everything gets, how much paint ends up being used, how the color changes from wet to dry, etc.

After seeing students suffer from not being able to attend 2 sessions out of a 5 or 6 session class, we’ve decided on a commitment to only 2 classes, and if you miss one of them, you can make it up later. There are no penalties for missing a class. This way, you can get your feet wet and see if you like it before making a larger commitment of both time and money.

Warning- these are not step by step painting classes. We don’t all paint the same painting. The class is not only about painting technique, but about thought process as well. What makes a good painting? Is a certain photo that you have a good foundation for a successful painting? We’ll talk about it.
