Painted as part of the 2025 Peninsula Art Academy Plein Air event, Trail Mix is the name of the National Park store that’s in the building in shadow in the right of the picture. One of my favorites paintings of the year, there are a lot of disparate elements involved that I managed to keep under control and maintain a hierarchy of shapes and colors and importance.
