A severely pruned street tree, telephone poles and wires, PLUS a water tower? YES PLEASE. Add the industrial building in the background and we have subject matter gold. I don’t think this is going to be nearly as compelling a scene once the trees leaf out. There was a car directly in front of me when I painted this, which I used artistic license to not include. As I was getting close to finishing up, a guy pulled up behind me, beeping his horn. I kept on painting. The beeping continued. I was in his “street spot”. I’m not one to argue about such things, so I left a little earlier than normal and finished it up at home.
