Maurice was a fixture in downtown Cleveland for many many years. Back in July of 2001 I talked it up with him and took a slew of pics with my then new 3.3 megapixel Coolpix 990 camera.  Looking back, the thousands of photos I took with that camera are still great for painting reference. This particular painting was created in 2018.
