After the only real good snow since setting up the car studio I parked the car by this old fjord in the Metroparks. These anglers were in search of steelhead trout, and one had come back to the cars with a big eight pounder, the only catch I saw while I was there. You can see the fjord in the river there on the right. I remember driving through these when I was a kid and we’d often encounter signs warning “FJORD CLOSED AHEAD” after heavy rains. I talked for a while with the guy who caught the fish. He drives a construction truck in the warmer months and confessed to having fishing Gear Acquisition Syndrome, just like I have GAS for watercolor brushes and bikes.
