Was up at Wendy Park several days before painting the Small Giants sculpture and there was a beautiful cloudless sunset overlooking the volleyball courts. Came up again several days later and painted the sky in advance of what it would look like. Planning is probably the most important part of plein air painting, whether it’s about light conditions or equipment needs.
