Painted on April 10th, 2021. The cherry blossoms bloomed early this year and they were just starting to fade a tiny bit on this Saturday, but it was THE day to check them out. 68º and sunny, Covid lockdown was being relaxed and everyone was itching to get out. When I started there were a couple people walking around and I indicated a couple in my initial pencil of the painting, but by the time I ended there were at least a hundred. I ended up meeting local Twitter superstar @Tribe_XX and his lovely wife, along with a friend of an elderly distant cousin, talking about her elementary school days. It was wonderful.
